Challenge Course Technical Skills

This intensive 40+ hour course will cover the technical skills necessary for safely operating challenge course programs. Areas to be covered will include, but are not limited to: Purpose and goals of challenge course programs, review of health issues, knot craft, warm-ups, low challenges, high ropes challenges and high ropes rescue techniques. Prepare for physically demanding days, short nights and lots of fun.

Pre-requisites: Participant must have been on a high ropes course as a participant or have instructor approval.

Course Fee: $475.00 P/P

Tech Skills Refresher

This 16-hour course is designed for anyone who has been previously trained in facilitating participants through a challenge course. Though all areas of the challenge course will be covered, there will be an emphasis on belay school, safety skills, "what if" situations and ropes course rescues. Expect to climb and perform a mock rescue of other participants.

Pre-Requisites: Participants must have previous training in the facilitation of Low and High Challenges.

Course Fee: $200.00 P/P

Group Skills Workshop

This 8-hour course will be group defined. Overall structure will be to explore individual facilitation skills and styles, design of challenge education programs and group development issues in a supportive environment. Attendees will interact with each other through leading activities, being a participant, giving and receiving group feedback. Come prepared with ideas and examples to share.

Pre-Requisites: Participants must have previous training in the facilitation of Low and High Challenges. Low and High ropes may be part of the experience.
